This is a post from my favorite blog. It is so beautifully written and is so easy to relate to! Enjoy!

Happy Easter!

Every year since forever, my family has celebrated Easter, well the Saturday before, at my grandparents house in Salina! It's the best ever! I was so grateful to participate in this years festivities because I was almost dead on my couch with mono and on drugs too keep me calm! I don't really remember that day at all....
We always have a big dutch oven dinner in the garage

Then we do this:

The most important part about Easter though, is the Atonement and the Resurrection.

I am so grateful that my Brother, my Savior, and my Friend Atoned for me. He knows how I feel about life and has done everything he possibly could to help me succeed so that I can live with Him again. I love the Plan of Salvation so much. It gives me such hope that all will be well. It is through this hope that I gain my greatest joy! I know, without a doubt, that through the Savior and by keeping the commandments, I will be eternally happy! I will get to be with my current and future family forever! I cannot wait! I love being with my family now, and I know that it will be even better in the eternities.

Cleanin' Out the Closet

Anyone who has ever been in my apartment knows I have WAY too much stuff for such a small space to hold! But, I took a lot to my family when I saw them on Thursday.

Sad part is, 80% of that stuff I didn't even need with me here at school. Luckily, I am reaping the results of cleaning out (phase 1). My dresser has never been so clean! And it feels super good to be able to fit all of my clothes in their proper drawers!

Not only did I physically clean out the closet (and dresser) this week, I've realized that I need to clean out my life from all unnecessary stress. I've been feeling crummy about a lot of different things lately and just being super stressed over things that don't really need to be stressed over. A big thing that I've realized is that it is absolutely ridiculous to hold grudges. There is really no point. Sometimes, those we love will disappoint us; but we still love them, not because of their actions, but because of who they are, children of God. People will make mistakes, but just because someone makes a mistake, doesn't mean they are that mistake. I've realized that forgiveness plays a major role in having inner peace. So I challenge you all to clean out your closet of grudges and love everyone for who they are, not what they do!

"Charity is having patience with someone who has let us down. It is resisting the impulse to become offended easily. It is accepting weaknesses and shortcomings. It is accepting people as they truly are. It is looking beyond physical appearances to attributes that will not dim through time. It is resisting the impulse to categorize others."
-President Thomas S. Monson

Thrilling Thursdays

I've decided that no matter how hectic my life gets, I'm going to post on Thursdays, no matter what. Unless I'm on vacation. But, I'm super sick of the internet at my apartment complex. And I'm sick of my laptop hating me. That's why this post will NOT be having any pictures. Lo siento. Also...this post is going to be super short because I have class in exactly 10 minutes. Lo siento...again.

So life has been fine lately. Nothing extremely exciting. I'm just really happy to be almost done with school and go home for the summer. I miss working at my dad's office ever so much!! Also, I think I'm going to invest in some new scrubs for this summer's work. I'm stoked. Scrubs are probably the best things ever. I considered going into the medical field for like two seconds, just so I could wear scrubs everyday.

Also, I love institute ever so much! On Tuesday we had a lesson entitled "These things shall give thee experience". Definitely my kind of lesson. In fact, I gave the thought and quoted from this book that I'm reading. It is most excellent. You should probably read it. Right now. You won't regret it. Anyways, back to institute. I sure love the gospel. Lately I haven't felt too excited about anything, except for things I've learned recently from church, conference, and institute. They make me want to to a back flip with joy. Sadly, my body cannot handle doing a back flip, so we'll just pretend that I'm awesome enough to do a back flip.

Sadly, I will not be attending institute today because......

I get to see my family!!!!! WAHOOOOO! I sure do love them.

I better run to class. If I didn't have to run right now, I'd write something inspirational....Sorry, sometimes I fail at life. Well not at life, sometimes I just fail in general. But that's okay. I'm a happy failure :) tehe

Oh Spring, Where Art Thou

Hi. My name is Kandace, and I love warm weather. Sad news, the weather has been no bueno for the past couple days, and it's supposed to snow for the next two. So, to cheer myself up, I'm going to blog about happy summer memories today!

Since my birthday is in July, we are almost always doing something exciting and away from home.
On my birthday, I've been in: Texas, Salina, Monticello, Brekenridge, California, Disney World, Youth Conference (I had a dance at Youth Conference for my 16th birthday), Family Reunion (s), and Lake Powell. Epic huh? It's because my birthday is awesome. It doubles as a prime time to have a vacation.

One thing I love about warm weather time of year is the chance to just relax outside. Although I usually spend the summer working, it's so chill! I get to just go to work, and when I leave, I'm done. I get to do as I please and relax, or hang with my friends, or eat ice cream, or watch a movie, or go on a bike ride, or blog! tehe. I have many great memories of simply eating popsicles outside in the Spring and Summer. I love popsicles, and I love just sitting on my front porch by myself thinking and eating a cool popsicle.

Also, warm weather means that it's tourist season at home. I love this because my little, po-dunk small town turns into a busy, happening place filled with people from all over the world. It's just so cute and fun! I live in the coolest place in the world!

The best part about summer is, I get to be home! I get to have home cooked meals and my own room that's been mine for years, not just months! It's so awesome! And I get to be with my family all the time. They rock my world.

So the next 2.5 weeks better hurry, because I have Spring Fever hard core!
