This is a post from my favorite blog. It is so beautifully written and is so easy to relate to! Enjoy!

Happy Easter!
Every year since forever, my family has celebrated Easter, well the Saturday before, at my grandparents house in Salina! It's the best ever! I was so grateful to participate in this years festivities because I was almost dead on my couch with mono and on drugs too keep me calm! I don't really remember that day at all....
Anyways....We always have a big dutch oven dinner in the garage
Then we do this:
The most important part about Easter though, is the Atonement and the Resurrection.
I am so grateful that my Brother, my Savior, and my Friend Atoned for me. He knows how I feel about life and has done everything he possibly could to help me succeed so that I can live with Him again. I love the Plan of Salvation so much. It gives me such hope that all will be well. It is through this hope that I gain my greatest joy! I know, without a doubt, that through the Savior and by keeping the commandments, I will be eternally happy! I will get to be with my current and future family forever! I cannot wait! I love being with my family now, and I know that it will be even better in the eternities.

Cleanin' Out the Closet
Anyone who has ever been in my apartment knows I have WAY too much stuff for such a small space to hold! But, I took a lot to my family when I saw them on Thursday.

Sad part is, 80% of that stuff I didn't even need with me here at school. Luckily, I am reaping the results of cleaning out (phase 1). My dresser has never been so clean! And it feels super good to be able to fit all of my clothes in their proper drawers!

Not only did I physically clean out the closet (and dresser) this week, I've realized that I need to clean out my life from all unnecessary stress. I've been feeling crummy about a lot of different things lately and just being super stressed over things that don't really need to be stressed over. A big thing that I've realized is that it is absolutely ridiculous to hold grudges. There is really no point. Sometimes, those we love will disappoint us; but we still love them, not because of their actions, but because of who they are, children of God. People will make mistakes, but just because someone makes a mistake, doesn't mean they are that mistake. I've realized that forgiveness plays a major role in having inner peace. So I challenge you all to clean out your closet of grudges and love everyone for who they are, not what they do!
"Charity is having patience with someone who has let us down. It is resisting the impulse to become offended easily. It is accepting weaknesses and shortcomings. It is accepting people as they truly are. It is looking beyond physical appearances to attributes that will not dim through time. It is resisting the impulse to categorize others."

Thrilling Thursdays
I've decided that no matter how hectic my life gets, I'm going to post on Thursdays, no matter what. Unless I'm on vacation. But, I'm super sick of the internet at my apartment complex. And I'm sick of my laptop hating me. That's why this post will NOT be having any pictures. Lo siento. Also...this post is going to be super short because I have class in exactly 10 minutes. Lo siento...again.
So life has been fine lately. Nothing extremely exciting. I'm just really happy to be almost done with school and go home for the summer. I miss working at my dad's office ever so much!! Also, I think I'm going to invest in some new scrubs for this summer's work. I'm stoked. Scrubs are probably the best things ever. I considered going into the medical field for like two seconds, just so I could wear scrubs everyday.
Also, I love institute ever so much! On Tuesday we had a lesson entitled "These things shall give thee experience". Definitely my kind of lesson. In fact, I gave the thought and quoted from this book that I'm reading. It is most excellent. You should probably read it. Right now. You won't regret it. Anyways, back to institute. I sure love the gospel. Lately I haven't felt too excited about anything, except for things I've learned recently from church, conference, and institute. They make me want to to a back flip with joy. Sadly, my body cannot handle doing a back flip, so we'll just pretend that I'm awesome enough to do a back flip.
Sadly, I will not be attending institute today because......
I get to see my family!!!!! WAHOOOOO! I sure do love them.
I better run to class. If I didn't have to run right now, I'd write something inspirational....Sorry, sometimes I fail at life. Well not at life, sometimes I just fail in general. But that's okay. I'm a happy failure :) tehe

Oh Spring, Where Art Thou
Hi. My name is Kandace, and I love warm weather. Sad news, the weather has been no bueno for the past couple days, and it's supposed to snow for the next two. So, to cheer myself up, I'm going to blog about happy summer memories today!
Since my birthday is in July, we are almost always doing something exciting and away from home.
On my birthday, I've been in: Texas, Salina, Monticello, Brekenridge, California, Disney World, Youth Conference (I had a dance at Youth Conference for my 16th birthday), Family Reunion (s), and Lake Powell. Epic huh? It's because my birthday is awesome. It doubles as a prime time to have a vacation.
One thing I love about warm weather time of year is the chance to just relax outside. Although I usually spend the summer working, it's so chill! I get to just go to work, and when I leave, I'm done. I get to do as I please and relax, or hang with my friends, or eat ice cream, or watch a movie, or go on a bike ride, or blog! tehe. I have many great memories of simply eating popsicles outside in the Spring and Summer. I love popsicles, and I love just sitting on my front porch by myself thinking and eating a cool popsicle.
Also, warm weather means that it's tourist season at home. I love this because my little, po-dunk small town turns into a busy, happening place filled with people from all over the world. It's just so cute and fun! I live in the coolest place in the world!
The best part about summer is, I get to be home! I get to have home cooked meals and my own room that's been mine for years, not just months! It's so awesome! And I get to be with my family all the time. They rock my world.
So the next 2.5 weeks better hurry, because I have Spring Fever hard core!

Change is Oh So Good!
In my life lately, I have been making weekly goals. At the beginning of the semester, my goals were kinda silly and I basically just challenged myself to talk to boys! But my goals have become more and more serious as the semester has gone on. This is all a part of my theory that you make your own happiness, which requires a lot of effort on your part (as I keep having to remind myself).
One goal is actually one I've kind of had my whole life, but I've never been really good at it. The goal is to keep a journal and to write in it regularly. My mom got me the coolest journal ever. It's called One Line A Day:
In this journal you just have to write a simple paragraph about the main events of each day. This takes off all the pressure to give every detail! It has each day for the span of five years lined up on the same page, so at the end of five years, it'll be really easy to compare!
My goal this week is to take matters into my own hands and not just coast along life. I'm trying to be more open with everyone by sharing my honest feelings. It's only been two days of this, but I kinda like it! (even though it's super duper scary!!!!!) Along with taking matters into my own hands, I decided I needed to update my hair.

Love it!!! I think it makes me look quite mature if I do say so myself!
So I know my current goals are still kind of silly, but it's been so much fun to make small improvements each week! I look forward to looking back at this time in my life and realizing how much I've grown and changed from these stepping stone goals. And besides, it feels good to actually accomplish something!
"Goals give you more than a reason to get up in the morning; they are an incentive to keep you going all day. Goals tend to tap the deeper resources and draw the best out of life." - Harvey Mackay

Entertainment
So remember how last post I said I was going to put a bunch of pictures on this post? Well that's not happening because I'm home right now and not on my laptop so I don't have any pictures to post. I'm essentially just blogging to entertain myself this fine evening. My philosophy professor would refer to this post as "rhetorical fluff" (even though the rest of my blog would probably be considered rhetorical fluff as well, this post will be especially fluffy because I'm just going to be rambling on and on and on)
So let's see...what to ramble about....hmmmm
Well, life is pretty awesome. It's always been pretty awesome, but it's especially awesome today because I wore a hat today! Now I know for most girls hat days=bad hair days, but for me hat days=getreadyin15minutesandtrytodosomethingwithyourhairthatpromotesaslittlestressaspossible
days. Let me tell ya, wearing a hat ALWAYS reduces my stress level! And I always get compliments on my hats! Maybe I'll start wearing hats everyday? Na, probably not.
Let's see, what else is awesome....

Let's see, what else is awesome....
- The fact that Libby Liberty has four wheel drive makes my life. As well as the fact that Dillon knows how to work Libby's four wheel drive through a blizzard through Salina Canyon in March.
- The fact that I have a choclate-y mint in my mouth right now. Those are always de-lish!
- The fact that I used to hyphens in that last bullet point is pretty cool. Hyphens in general are cool. They help you create new, ridiculous words.
- The fact that I got to educate myself about dental liability insurance throughout dinner tonight. (Dad you owe me. Oh right...I bet this is payback for the past 19.5 years, plus you've employed me for the past 4 summers...we're even)
- The fact that we listened to the most random music selection of my life on the way home today. I now have a cd player in my car, so i whipped out my good ol' cd collection and we listened to all of the cds without any identification written on them and then we listened to classics, like NSYNC and Now 8 and 9
- The fact that my roommates and I were absolutely insane last night. Number 5 was well overdue for some craziness. I think we should thank the epicness of the BYU game. That got us all sorts of hyper. Especially when Parson's (from Florida State) winked at us while throwing in free throws.
- The fact that my toes are a minty green color right now. I think they're pretty cool at least.
K, I'm done listing off the randomly awesome things in my life right now. There's lots of other awesome things that are definitely much more important happening, but sometimes it's fun to be random...right? Well I sure think so.
For all of you who actually read this entire post, you are good souls indeed. And you've earned some mega brownie points in my book.
